export ncloth fbx export ncloth geometry to unity

If I delete all history aside from skin and apply Ncloth Maya still crashes. If I then try to apply Ncloth Maya still crashes. If I delete all mesh history I lose my skin data. Is there something wrong with the meshes that are imported ? Something I should look for Bad geometry, nodes, history.etc? Something that needs to be changed ? I need to bring in FBX files, since this is where the animation is created. Is there something I should be doing with the collada or fbx files on import ? When I attempt to select the character and apply Ncloth passive to it, Maya crashes. I created a shirt in Maya and applied Ncloth to it. Simple skinned character(s) w/ skeletons. There is no animation data on the collada or fbx files. (No error messages, aside from Fatal error saving in My Doc~./ ) However, no matter what I do to Collada or FBX imported meshes Ncloth will crash Maya. Then in the Rendering Types view, adjust the weights of the Flag group.System XP.

Make sure the Character Bounding Box is large enough to contain the flag when the character will move its arms.

Set the Flag Asset Group node as weighted by clicking on the button on the node (or by checking the Weighted checkbox in the Asset Properties panel).

This will add a flag Mesh Asset node in the Flag Asset Group node

Select the Flag Asset Group node and then select the flag mesh in Maya and click on the Import Geometry button in the Geometry Tab.This will allow to have part of the characters without flags Add an new Asset Group node named Empty and connect it to the Flag Asset Group node.Create a new Asset Group node named Flag and connect it to the Character Node.You may need to set a bigger bounding box than the usual character because of the flag simulation. Browse to the geometry file you just exported with the flag.
